JCC Environmental’s Technical Capabilities

JCC has an experienced and well trained staff capable of working in most hazardous environments. We routinely work in all levels of PPE and have direct experience in managing most hazardous genres. The following is a brief overview of our routine services:

  1. Sampling and Analysis. JCC manages the sampling of pits, sumps, tanks, drums, ponds, soils, and unknown chemicals. In most cases we use the TSD facility parameter for the analysis we run. In some cases, we use the Engineering specifications required, and when in doubt, use industry standards. On State or Federal Hazardous sites we follow the prescribed analysis and laboratory protocol. JCC does not use any laboratory that we have not audited or was not requested by our clients. We always run both blanks and spikes to validate our results. All original analytical results, unless otherwise stipulated, becomes the property of the generator.
  2. Hazardous Waste Drum Management. JCC has decades of experience in the identification, packaging, labeling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous wastes. By also having our own Hazardous Transportation Authority, we eliminate costly delays in scheduling and can give our clients the service they want. JCC specializes in bulking out many wastes and in securing fast approvals for the client. JCC recycles many of the wastes we manage, and always delivers an accurate and complete paper trail. We are also known by many hospitals and clinics for our labpacking expertise. JCC utilizes several well known TSD facilities and recyclers to give each waste stream the lowest liability to the generator.
  3. Tank Cleaning and Installation. JCC is a UST and AST contractor, familiar with the installation and removal of tanks. We have cleaned large bulk tanks, fuel tanks, chemical tanks, open concrete tanks, and berms. We provide turnkey services. Because we work closely with the state, many times we are able to prevent any delays that may occur on the project. If contamination is found in or under the tank, JCC has the equipment and resources to complete the remediation. This offsets costly delays in trying to bring in another specialty contractor.
  4. General Remediation. JCC has managed many types of remedial projects including UST removals, the removal of contaminated soils, neutralization of tanks and soils, PCB projects, unknown projects, and even felony cases. JCC has a large inventory of dumps, trackhoes, dozers, and other miscellaneous equipment.

On occasion, where the project is short or far from home, JCC will rent local equipment to complete a job. JCC has 40 hour Hazardous trained operators for Red Zone work. JCC has enjoyed a steady growth over the past 12 years by working in a subcontractor capacity to firms like Foster-Wheeler, Space Services, NASA, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Corps of Engineers, etc. We look forward to the challenge of working closely with top contractors or Government Agencies and have the experience to back up the clients we work for.

  5. Environmental Construction. JCC has been successful in managing many construction projects. We have built detention ponds, levees, berms, put in French Drains and Slurry Walls, tank farms, capped hazardous waste sites, etc.
  6. Site Control, Security and Maintenance. JCC has extensive experience with working on different military bases, that require fencing. The construction of different zones, grubbing, and external security. We have built these sites using both contract technical labor and our own employees, and in most cases finish ahead of schedule.
  7. Universal Waste Management. JCC has recently opened a new facility in Picayune, Mississippi to bulk universal wastes. These wastes include mercury thermostats, fluorescent light bulbs and all types of industrial batteries. We also bulk used oils at this facility for recycling/reuse. This facility has allowed us to stock many products, including but not limited to drums, spill control products and safety equipment.
